Phyllis Jacobs

PHYLLIS JACOBS, a Baltimore native and longtime resident of the Washington area, lives in Frederick, Maryland. She has exhibited frequently in Washington galleries, The Delaplaine Visual Arts Center in Frederick, and regularly at The Artists’ Gallery.

She taught art history and drawing at Indiana University and was on the degree faculty of the Atlanta College of Art.

A comprehensive view of her career as an artist was seen in the September 2002 exhibit, “Five Artists, Five Decades,” at the Glenview Mansion of the Rockville Civic Center with more recent work there again in the show titled, "The Evocative Surface."
