CHRISTINA LUND moved from her hometown Westport, Connecticut to Saudi Arabia when she was 16. She graduated from The American Community School in Beirut, Lebanon. She has a BA in Fine Art from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, but spent her junior year in Aix-en-Provence, France. After graduating, she studied art at Cal State, Los Angeles.
Lund has lived in Frederick since 1976. Her work has been shown in the Frederick area since 1980 in many regional and group shows including the Delaplaine Visual Arts and Education Center, Catepetl Gallery, Hill Top House, and The Artists’ Gallery. Her work is in private collections throughout the country.
"My work usually reflects the joy I feel when I work with paint, expressing the fluidity of the media while appreciating the underlying structure of the composition. I’m currently exploring the idea of passageways – looking from the outside in or moving through to a new place."
