Shelley Stevens

SHELLEY STEVENS notes that, “Much of my work is sculptural and focuses on combining ceramic and wood. The process starts with a walk in the woods where I search for interesting deadwood. The ceramic then takes its cues from the form and character of the found wood.”

Shelley received her MFA in ceramics from George Washington University. She teaches ceramics at the Loudoun Campus of Northern Virginia Community College where she was honored with the
MVP Adjunct Award in 2007. Her work is shown regionally and is held in numerous private collections.
