BRADY WILKS finds photography to be the creative outlet that he is most connected to. His photographic work is created with an exacting intention through the language of visual art. Film, digital captures, and alternative processes are used to create various bodies of work, which maintain a visual style and continuity throughout the various series. The majority of the image is created at time of capture through use of glass plates, filters, and extrusive time. The final prints are either silver gel darkroom prints, digital prints on textured fine art papers, or hand applied emulsions.

Brady intends to share his work with others, continue to strengthen photography’s presence in the art community, and to educate people in the field of photography and the language of art

A couple years ago, Brady moved to Frederick from California, and  he has been working on solo/group exhibit proposals for galleries in Frederick area and the entire Mid-North Atlantic Coast.

Brady currently is finishing up a Masters of Fine Arts at the Academy of Art Institute, San Francisco CA. He earned is BA from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, PA. And, he earned a Technical Certification from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe AZ.

Brady teaches darkroom and digital photography at Frederick Community College, in Frederick, MD; photography and graphics at Hagerstown Community College, in Hagerstown, MD; is the studio/lab manager at Art Farm, in Dickerson, MD; and is a working artist (film, digital, and alternative prints) out of Boyds, MD.
